Between the snow, rain, wind and sun of our Central Oregon Springs, we have our rituals of change. Putting away the snow and ice removal tools, and finding our gardening implements. Turning on the sprinklers and irrigation. Inside, we clean the floor and carpets, and put away our winter decorations in favor of brighter, livelier decor. But have you thought about spring cleaning your financial records?

Now is the time to get rid of that paper clutter, and simplify your life. And Mid Oregon Credit Union has the perfect way to get started!

Free Financial Workshop

Get a head start on spring cleaning! Learn how to confidently manage paper clutter at this free financial workshop Organize Your Financial Records, on Thursday, March 29, 2018.

Being organized is more than getting rid of piles. It’s knowing you have important documents handy when you need them. It’s changing your record-keeping system so your loved ones can find important documents and policies.

Do you keep statements and cancelled checks longer than you have to? Do you know what to keep, and how long to keep it? Do you have a system for de-cluttering your files on a regular basis?

Get Control of Your Files

Workshop presenter Riki Strong of Mid Oregon Credit Union will help you get control of your files. She’ll cover:

• Why some record keeping systems fail
• How to develop an efficient bill-pay system
• What records to keep and for how long
• How to take a home inventory
• What to have handy in case of a natural disaster
• Where to go for help and resources

This free workshop begins at 6:00 p.m. at Mid Oregon Credit Union’s East Bend branch, 1386 NE Cushing Drive. Call (541) 382-1795 or email info@midoregon.com to reserve your seat. Light refreshments will be served.
